New Braunfels is located between San Antonio, Texas and Austin, Texas. The city is in Comal county. The first settlement there was established in 1845 by German settlers. Most of the architecture is German style. The city is a home to close to 99,000 residents. There are a few landmarks in New Braunfels including Natural Bridge Caverns, Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo, Landa Park and Schlitterbahn. The Comal and Guadalupe Rivers run through the middle of town.
